A remarkable surge in market valuations was witnessed last week, with nine out of the top-10 most-valued firms contributing to a significant increase of Rs 1,85,320.49 crore. Reliance Industries Ltd and HDFC Bank took center stage, showcasing substantial gains in line with the equity rally.
The BSE benchmark soared by 1,404.45 points, marking a 1.89 per cent increase, reaching an all-time intra-day high of 75,636.50 on Friday.

LIC witnessed a significant rally, with its market valuation surging by Rs 35,135.36 crore to reach Rs 6,51,348.26 crore. Bharti Airtel followed suit, with a remarkable increase of Rs 22,921.42 crore, reaching a market capitalization of Rs 7,87,838.71 crore. Similarly, Hindustan Unilever saw a rise of Rs 9,985.76 crore, reaching Rs 5,56,829.63 crore.
Infosys observed a rise of Rs 8,821.99 crore in its market valuation, reaching Rs 6,08,198.38 crore. State Bank of India (SBI) experienced a surge of Rs 6,916.57 crore, reaching Rs 7,39,493.34 crore. ICICI Bank added Rs 903.31 crore to its valuation, reaching Rs 7,95,307.82 crore, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) climbed by Rs 271.36 crore, reaching Rs 13,93,235.05 crore.
However, ITC saw a decline of Rs 436.97 crore, settling at Rs 5,44,458.70 crore in market valuation.
In the top-10 ranking, Reliance Industries retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI, LIC, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC.
